About me
Seeking therapy takes courage and vulnerability so let me tell you a bit about who I am as a Psychologist.
MY SPECIALITIES
The areas that I'm passionate about serving, have extra training and experience:
Trauma
Experiences of trauma come from all aspects of life; childhood, family of origin, relationship based, work related, event based. Trauma is debilitating and our natural response isn't always what we want or expect. A significant tool to healing from trauma is to not do it alone. Together we can identify, explore and re-process the parts of yourself that are stuck in your trauma. I have training in evidence-based treatments to support you in this difficult work.
Relationships
Relationships are a part of life even though they aren’t always easy, simple, or fulfilling. If you’re struggling in any relationship, with an intimate partner, family members, friends or co-workers, you need to know there is hope. If you’re looking for individual or couples’ therapy, I can assist you. We can explore setting boundaries, developing healthy communication, coping with broken trust, deepening connections, and understanding intimacy.
Anger
Do you ever find yourself getting angry? Maybe trying to hide your anger? Not being sure how to express your anger? I have a special interest in working with clients who are experiencing anger in their daily life. I will be able to support you in developing healthy ways to express and deal with your anger.
Purpose
Have you ever asked yourself…Who am I? What am I doing? What is my purpose? What is my worth? These questions can leave you feeling lost and confused. I work with individuals wanting to explore their past, present and future to gain a better understanding of and love for themselves.
Grief
Everyone experiences grief and loss at some point. If you’re experiencing a loss through death, divorce, illness or other circumstances, you may feel hopeless and alone. You don’t have to go through your loss by yourself.
